Shake & Bake blade lures

Author: josh

I can't say I've used enough blade style lures to qualify as any kind of expert on them, but I can safely tell you that the Shake & Bake variants made & tested locally here on the Clarence River (by Big River Bait & Tackle, Maclean) do indeed work very well. In fact most of the fish caught in episode 7 of War on Fish were caught with Shake & Bake blades, including the big 'ol bass at the start. I now pack a few of the larger metal ones for off shore use as well.

altWhy am I mentioning it now? Because I'm almost near the finish line on building the official Shake and Bake website, which at this stage is about fit for human consumption. It's worth mentioning here because what this means is that for the first time ever, these inexpensive little blades are now available for purchase online. Up until now they were only ever available from the Big River Bait & Tackle store. And if you buy 5, you'll get 1 free. It's a pretty good deal really. They're also running some attractive specials on a few GLoomis rods.

It also means that I'm almost done building the site and as such will have a little more spare time that I can devote to a few other projects that have been sidelined recently. If I've seemed a little quiet lately, now you know why.
