This video shows you how to repair a dented kayak. We boil some water ahead of time, then we use air pressure inside the hull while applying the hot water to the dented area. Once its hot the material will get soft and the air pressure will get the dent to mostly pop back out. This was a fairly severe dent that we purposely put into the hull to show the repair technique... so we had to use a bit more force by hand than just the pressure to remove - but as you can see it is a fairly simple repair to make at home.

Recently Hobie added the Lowrance Elite series of sounders to their range and to go along with them, have followed up with an installation kit to suit. Its not terribly dissimilar to the earlier install kit (of which I wrote an article on recently), though it includes a suitable 9AH battery and various components required to install a sounder with. This kit will work with most sounders on the market (not just the Lowrance Elite series) and is pretty much perfect for most larger sounder units available.
Hobie Kayak Tech have released this video to demonstrate how one might go about using the kit to install a sounder into their kayak.
