I'm not entirely sure who the mastermind behind this invention is, though it may be Scott Lovig himself - the very same person responsible for the video clip showing it off. This kayak loading aid incorporates a Rhino rack bar and cradles and as demonstrated in this clip, holds surely enough even to support the weight of the mighty Pro Angler. Now that's impressive.

Who better to show you around the Pro Angler fishing kayak than veteran Victorian Hobie dealer Scott Lovig, who not only knows the boat very well by virtue of being a hands-on kayak dealer, but also as someone who uses it in tournaments regularly and even as someone who had some input into the drawing board when Hobie were thinking this boat up. Oh... and not only does he use it in tournaments, we're talking ding-ding-ding-the-king here, and by that, I mean reigning ABT/Hobie kayak series champion. In short, he knows his stuff.
I'm impressed with how the tourney vets are rigging these kayaks up into fishing platforms from the future. Some really neat ideas here that are ideally suited to kayak fishing in protected waters, estuaries, rivers and lakes. I was also rather impressed by the purpose-built trailer Scotty has collaborated on. These kayaks are heavy weight (all those features come at a cost) and as I speculated on in my Hobie kayak buyers guide, a trailer is a highly desirable addition to a Pro Angler.

Newly announced Hobie factory Fishing Team member (and Melbourne Hobie kayak dealer) Scott Lovig has uploaded a new video that features some of the highlights of the recent kayak fishing adventure (undertaken by a group of swiss-bank account holding yak fishos) at Dirk Hartog, Western Australia. When you watch this clip I think you'll understand why the guys were so willing to spend up and travel as far as they did in search of picatorial glory. Great video from Scott once again. {mos_fb_discuss:2}
